For more than 50 years Scottish Opera has been the beating heart of opera in Scotland, bringing entertainment, joy and exhilarating experiences to young and old.
As a charity, Scottish Opera relies on support to deliver its breadth of activity. We receive two thirds of our income from the Scottish Government with the balance coming from ticket sales, trusts and foundations, earned income and donations, including gifts in Wills. Film: Opera Highlights
Filmed at the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock in October 2020, our filmed version of Opera Highlights brought the joy of opera to audiences at home when we weren't able to welcome them to the theatre.

How do I leave a gift in my Will?
Ways you can remember Scottish Opera in your Will:
- A residuary gift – a percentage, or the remainder, of your estate after other wishes have been met
- A pecuniary gift – a specific sum of money
Making a Will for the first time
We would advise you to consult a qualified solicitor and appoint executors to ensure your wishes are fulfilled correctly. You can find a solicitor near you by searching the Law Society's website.
If you already have a Will
If you would like to include a gift to Scottish Opera, you can add a codicil with the help of your solicitor. A codicil allows you to update your existing Will without the need to re-write it.
