First performed in Dundee in 2021, The Puccini Collection travels to Glasgow and Edinburgh to mark the centenary of the great composer’s death.
The concert features favourite arias and extended excerpts from Giacomo Puccini's varied and vibrant career. From rare earlier works Le villi and Edgar to glorious highlights from masterpieces such as Tosca, La fanciulla del West, Gianni Schicchi, and La bohème, The Puccini Collection celebrates one of the most popular and beloved opera composers.
Soloists Sinéad Campbell Wallace (The Puccini Collection 2021 and Tosca 2019), Kira Kaplan (2024/25 Emerging Artist) Mykhailo Malafii, Fraser Simpson (La traviata 2024) and Roland Wood (Marx in London! 2024) are accompanied on stage by The Orchestra of Scottish Opera under the baton of Stuart Stratford.
