We are taking a look at all we accomplished in 2021 including three more Opera On Screens, over 200 outdoor performances, over 50 indoor performances and multiple Education and Outreach programmes.
Former Scottish Opera Emerging Artist, Margo Arsane, performs in a new recording of Chausson’s song cycle for voice and orchestra, Poème de l'amour et de la mer. Recorded this summer on the stage of Theatre Royal Glasgow, our Music Director, Stuart Stratford, conducts the French mezzo soprano and The Orchestra of Scottish Opera.
Beginning on 8 February, our new vaudeville-inspired Opera Highlights tours to 18 local venues around Scotland, including in the Outer Hebrides.
A new mural painted on our Edington Street Production Studios has been revealed.
To commemorate the UN Climate Change Conference taking place in Glasgow and raise awareness of rising sea levels, a mural is being painted on our Production Studios by celebrated Mexican artist and activist, Gustavo Chavez Pavon (pictured).
