We are delighted to share the news that we are shortlisted in the Opera and Music Theatre category (supported by Jenny Hodgson), at this year’s Royal Philharmonic Society Awards.
The finalists were announced today on BBC Radio 3’s Breakfast show, and also in the category (which is for ‘an outstanding production or initiative, presented for a live audience or digitally, or for the overall accomplishments of a company or individual opera and music theatre in the UK’), are Bluebeard’s Castle by Theatre of Sound and Opera Ventures, Orfeo by Garsington Opera and The Handmaid’s Tale by English National Opera.
The RPS Awards are billed by Radio 3 as ‘the BAFTAs of classical music’, and the winners will be revealed in a celebratory event at Southbank Centre’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in London on Wednesday 1 March.
We wish all those shortlisted the best of luck. The full list is available here: https://royalphilharmonicsociety.org.uk/rps_today/news/2023-rps-awards-shortlists-revealed
