The five star ‘opera for babies’ BambinO will be presented at The Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman next Spring as part of its 2018/19 Season.
Former Scottish Opera Composer in Residence Lliam Paterson’s pioneering and unique piece of music theatre for infants aged 6 to 18 months runs from March 31 to April 6 2019, and is a co-production with Manchester International Festival and Improbable. This is the first time that ROHM has presented a show for children of this age.
Directed by Improbable’s Phelim McDermott, BambinO recently had sell-out runs in Paris and at New York’s Metropolitan Opera, and is touring to Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year, as well as five venues around Scotland.
BambinO is commissioned and produced by Scottish Opera, Manchester International Festival and Improbable. It is supported by Scottish Opera’s New Commissions Circle and Scottish Opera’s Education Angels.
