Hugh Canning from The Sunday Times spoke to Daisy Evans about her varied career in opera, and staging Humperdinck's classic, Hansel and Gretel. Mezzo-soprano Kitty Whately, who sings Hansel in the production, spoke to The Scotsman about creating opera during the pandemic.
We caught up with Beth Hicks, former Scottish Opera Emerging Artist Costume Trainee and now Costume Supervisor for our upcoming staging of Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel. She was part of the team that created the costume for our over-the-top, Christmas-crazed Witch, and she talks about the challenges of making this distinctive dress.
