We are delighted to announce two members of Scottish Opera Young Company (SOYC), mezzo-soprano Imogen Bews (21) from Aberdeen and baritone Joshua Campbell (21) from North Ayrshire, have been awarded our Audition Bursary Prize, funded by The Leverhulme Trust.

Celebrate our 60th Anniversary with us, by raising a glass! We are excited to announce we have partnered with The Biggar Gin Company to create a new artisan gin called Suonare. Translating ‘to play’, Suonare is a bespoke gin using botanicals inspired by operas in our 60th Season, in a celebration of artisan craftsmanship and mixology.
Ainadamar, by composer Osvaldo Golijov and librettist David Henry Hwang, is unusual among operas for its inclusion of non-operatic voices.
We are delighted to present the latest in the Opera in Concert Series, The Verdi Collection. A selection of the Italian composer’s greatest hits, an internationally acclaimed cast will bring numerous roles to life at His Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen on 19 November and Eden Court, Inverness on 26 November, with the concert then touring to City Halls, Glasgow and Usher Hall, Edinburgh in February 2023.
